Great stay! I stayed here for my 30th birthday with my girlfriend & it was so lovely. Not only decorating it with birthday banners & shaping the towels into the number 30, we were welcomed with a clean, bright & cosy hut to spend a few days in. With great views & a hot tub to relax in, it was the perfect treat. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect Little Get Away! Recently booked to stay here wiry my Husband for our First Wedding Anniversary and it was absolutely beautiful! We booked the Herdwick Lodge, perfect despite us been the only people staying on the site at the time. Highly recommend, gorgeous huts and a great location! Loved seeing the girls roaming freely too! 🐓

Fantasic Short Break Had a fantastic stay in the Jacob Sheperd Hut. The hut was very clean and had lovely touches. The views and being surrounded by animals was so relaxing. We booked to feed the Alpaca, which was a lovely experience. The hosts were great and we will definately be staying again.

Brilliant experience. I would highly recommend Springwood Shepherds Huts. Myself and my husband have had a wonderful 2 day stay at Springwood Shepherds Huts, York. We stayed in the Herdwick hut which was spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were so comfy I had the best nights sleep. There is everything you need from crockery, glasses, pots and pans etc.. There is also a wood burner if needed. The hot tub was a real bonus. The interior was stylish and comfortable. The service from Eden was exceptional. All the information you may need was there in a booklet. Definitely going back there!!!!

Beautiful Countryside Getaway Would 100% recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing country break. We stayed in the Herdwick Hut for my birthday weekend and honestly could not fault it. Extremely clean and cosy, and beautifully decorated. The bed was so comfy, we slept brilliantly! Everything that we needed and more was provided in the hut, including a fully stocked kitchen and other useful items that I wouldn’t have even thought that we needed until we go there! The fire pit and hot tub were added bonuses and the location is perfect with no noise and so much nature to see. The detail and care put into these huts by the owners is obvious and we definitely will be booking again! 😍

Couples retreat This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint… superb location and the huts are finished to a very high standard! Eden’s little finishing touches, such as toiletries, coffee, tea and milk and even a plentiful supply of eggs from her free roaming chickens and best of all, waking up to the alpacas! A wonderful couple of nights and we will be sure to return again… and again!

Fantastic, cannot recommend enough We had a wonderful relaxing time here, so lucky to be the only people there over this weekend, So quiet and beautiful, the hut itself was equipped with everything that you could you wish for, the bed was super comfortable, and the hot tub was just perfect. Relaxing Retreat The facilities in the huts are excellent and clean throughout. The communication on booking, location, access arrangements is all by EMail and was efficient and faultless. The location is rural, peaceful and relaxing though only a short drive from the City of York and major routes. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Glamping in style Great location , cute hut , everything you need . Immaculately clean . Peaceful and tranquil . Only negative was the grass outside the hut . Would have been better cut . Would definitely go again .

Suffolk Hut We had the most amazing stay at Springwood this month - beautifully cared for and thoughtfully designed luxury glamping huts with everything you could possibly need for a peaceful countryside escape. Very easy driving distance from York centre and plenty to explore nearby. We can’t wait to go back.

Exceptional! Our stay here was exceptional….everything was beautiful and finished to such a high standard, we wanted to stay longer! Perfect location outside of York and blissfully quiet… with the alpacas, horses and of course, sheep for company! Will certainly be booking again in the future!

glamping spent 2 nights in the cotswold hut with hot tub fantastic location so peaceful looking out onto fields with alpacas sheep and chicken roaming free the hut had everything that you could need for your stay very comfortable very close to york owner very friendly and helpful the hot tub was a very welcome after a day round york will def be back again

Fantastic stay Spent 2 nights in the Suffolk hut. Amazing from start to finish. It’s located in a lovely peaceful area with beautiful views. The hut it’s self is lovely very clean and beautifully set out. Lovely little touches are in place and you can even help your self to fresh eggs laid by the chickens living on site. We will most definitely be coming again.

Lovely peaceful stay I stayed 3 nights in “Jacob” shepherd’s hut. It was absolutely gorgeous. I had everything I needed with lovely touches like the fresh coffee and milk provided. The hut was spotless with good quality linens and towels. I enjoyed my fresh eggs. Can definitely recommend. My only “tiny” downside - I would have liked to be able to walk up and see the alpacas more closely! ( I love alpacas !)

Peaceful and relaxing stay. This is a really good find. Such a peaceful and relaxing place out of the way from everything, It’s a very modern hut and has everything you need. Very good communication from the hosts and really welcoming, would highly recommend.

Springwood Shepherd huts Great accommodation ! Everything you need is there, it’s is clean and to a high standard. Great hot tub ! Get the bus into York or if you are up to it take the Solar walk / cycle path. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place Great couple of days for away for New year. Fantastic accommodation so clean with everything you’d need. So peaceful easy to book a taxi to go to York or the designer outlet. Fresh eggs every morning. I paid extra for the logs so we come use the fire pit and internal log burner.

Such a cosy, relaxing hut We stayed here in the beginning of December because we wanted to visit York Christmas market. We stayed in Herdwick and it was such a lovely stay. Super cosy with the fire and hot tub. It was a stunning sunrise in the morning over looking the fields. Would highly recommend! Will be booking a stay again.

An amazing stay Just checked out of spring wood huts, literally didn’t want to leave, the whole stay was amazing. Blown away by how clean and cosy the hut was, and was provided was all necessities needed. Tv had all apps on useful for those who enjoy binging Netflix, the hot tub was so nice, such a quiet area. Only thing that would have made it that little bit better would have been a little country pub closer to the huts. Cannot fault this stay at all, and would definitely return or recommend to anyone looking for a short break. Wanted to leave a little thank you note but didn’t have any pens or paper, so thank you for the beautiful accommodation ☺️

Lovely Cosy retreat Very cosy and warm .lovely base to explore locally places like York ,Malton,Pocklington Very peaceful nothing but bird song ,great to sit out with a glass on wine on an evening . Great place to stay for a long weekend or more . Ate at the Fat Abbott in Escrick great home made pie of the day .will be staying again and will recommend to anyone David and Jeanette Idle Bradford

What a place! A fantastic stay! Me and my wife stayed here for a couple of nights on a short break and we were impressed from the get go. The hut we stayed in was lovely and clean and we loved how quiet the surroundings were. The little touches that were left for us like the cafetiere coffee, sweets and being able to get fresh eggs every morning (laid by the hens there), really made it. We really couldn't fault the whole stay and the hottub was the cherry on top! We will be back.

Great little last minute find! Wow you won’t be disappointed Great little luxury huts with absolutely everything you could wish or ask for ! The owners really have thought of everything you might need, to kitchen roll, tinfoil, matches, a little radio even a bottle of milk in the fridge ! Only a short drive to York we used the park and ride and left the car at the outlet one day and got a taxi into town at night for a drink £15 each way in a Uber There are a couple of pubs nearby just over a mile to main road if you fancy a walk Will defo be returning and will make sure we book with a hot tub next time was very envious of the other huts but unfortunately we booked last minute and they were booked up this time ! If your looking for a peaceful romantic getaway with the added bonus that York is only round the corner then this is the place for you!

Anniversary stay We stayed Fri-Monday over in these shepherds huts and it was nothing but exceptional from start to finish down to every last detail! Eden was able to give us a little visit to the alpacas which was adorable. Lovely relaxing and peaceful there. Can not fault anything. It’s in a great location too with access to York, walking routes, day out activities and local food and fuel places. Will 100% recommend and be staying again in future. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay

Fantastic find close to York We’ve just stayed in the Herdwick hut for the weekend and it was perfect. It’s so peaceful and quiet but only 15 minutes away from York centre (around £15 in a taxi). Couldn’t fault anything in the hut, beautifully finished with everything you need. Lots of nice little touches like free eggs and having some milk for arrival and everything you’d need to wash up! The hot tub was perfect for two. Can’t wait to stay again in the future!

The Suffolk Hut 🌿 * Great Location - Perfect spot to take a break, so scenic and peaceful. The kind of place that makes you want to put your phone down and pick up a book (or in our case a pack of cards!) * The Hut - Spotless! You can tell they have been very well looked after, we hope future guests continue to respect the huts as they are immaculate. You can really see the work that has been put into them!! *The Details - Fresh Eggs, Pint of Milk, Very Good Coffee, Bluetooth speaker & friendly chickens! Sheep theme carried on throughout the hut which we loved! We stayed on a very warm weekend so we also made good use of the supplied tower fan! Everything had been thought of! *Service - Great communication throughout the booking process & our stay. Thank you Eden ☺️ *Things to do (& distance away) - Sangthai Restaurant was yummy! (2 mins) York City Centre (20 mins) we use the park & ride (5 mins) and Ubers. The Ubers cost us approx £35 for the day but it was also York Race Day so we think this may have increased price / decreased availability! Definitely recommend Park & Ride £3.50 if you aren’t too worried about having a drink! LockedIn escape room in York was brilliant fun, if you are looking for something to do in the city! York Designer Outlet (5 mins) was also a good afternoon trip to make, picked…

Fabulous relaxing stay in a 5* luxury hut. Beautiful, immaculate accommodation. Every little detail had been thought about so never once thought I wish I'd brought... Friendly owner, quiet spot with lovely views and only a few minutes from York. Would love to return another time.

Fantastic glamping experience We've just come back from a brilliant stay at Springwood, thank you 😊 after staying at a lot of glamping sites I have to say this one was by far the best equipped! There's been some real attention to detail to make your stay comfy and enjoyable.

Absolutely amazing! Stunning views and a lovely rural location, however not too far from civilisation! Accommodation is stylish and modern and a lovely warm welcome pack for when you arrive. Stress free and an amazing time away. Would highly recommend for a quiet romantic weekend away
