Lovely place to spend a few days, close to the city centre, was very relaxing and had a romantic element to it, was very clean and well supplied, would recommend getting one with a hot tub

We have just arrived back from our 2 night stay at the shepherds hut.
The huts were spotless, extremely clean with some essentials available for us, tea, coffee, sweets and milk. The huts are ideal for a lovely quite break away, the hens, chickens paid us a visit daily and even lay eggs for us.
The scenery is beautiful, we had a hot tub which was amazing. The weather was a bonus for us to so sunbathed and just chilled. Would highly recommend this place, the staff (Eden) were extremely friendly and gave us information on the area and locals places to eat and drink.

Just come back from a fabulous 2 night stay in the Herdwick Hut for my 60th Birthday. It was perfect! Spacious, cosy and beautifully decorated…loved all the little luxurious touches, such as robes for the hot tub and fleece blankets for sitting by the fire pit. It was very relaxing and the scenery was amazing, loved watching the Alpacas! Thank you for the really lovely stay, would highly recommend and we will definitely be back again!

We came for our second stay at Springwood last weekend and had such a lovely weekend again! Wouldn’t have changed anything, the gorgeous, well equipped shepherds hut along with the beautiful surroundings just make it the perfect little get away! This time we had the hot tub which made it even better! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

A lovely modern yet cosy Shepherds Hut retreat. In a beautiful setting and had such a relaxing few nights there in the Herdwick hut with a hot tub. I would definitely recommend a stay here

Excellent getaway. Loved it. The hut was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Hot tub was great. Perfect get away and we’ll be back no doubt. Can’t praise it highly enough. 15mins South of York Centre. Great location.

Such a beautiful place to go and relax for a couple of days! The hut was so cozy, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed in there also I loved the thoughtful essentials they given us such coffee, tea, milk and fresh eggs which they left out for the guests. We stayed in the herd wick hut which had the hot tub, the space around the hot tub was hidden away so lots of privacy it was also very quiet and peaceful . I love how the huts are not too far from the city centre, we decided to take a taxi which was super easy to book as the guys left a really useful information book full of everything we’d need to know such as transport etc. I also thought everything from the booking to gaining access to the hut was just so easy and hassle free. Thank you for the really lovely stay and we will definitely be back again! ♥️

Such a beautiful weekend away here at Springwood. Our hut was perfectly clean and had everything we would need. We loved seeing the alpaca’s and free roaming chickens! Location is also perfect with the site being peaceful and quiet but only a short drive away from York town. We had the herdwick hut with the hot tub which was lovely. We will definitely be returning!

We had a lovely weekend, it’s our first time in a shepherds hut and I’m so glad we chose these ones to visit. The location is perfect, tranquil, relaxing but close enough to visit York for the hustle and bustle. The hot tub & firepit were brilliant added extras and the hut had everything we needed with cute little touches. We will definitely be back, highly recommended
